A smaller hen house also means a smaller cleanup. Anyone who has had any type of animal dog, cat, horse or whatever you must keep their area clean. Just like with people disease are spread more easily when you or they live in an unclean environment.


Just like larger homes a larger chicken coop is going to cost more to maintain. Paying for power to keep your coops heat lamps running will be higher. The cost for water will be larger as well.
